Welcome to The Backyard.
A restaurant and bakery focusing on seasonal and local foods, traditional favorites and new ideas. We call it tradition~twisted. With an interior design focus on our area farms and the ocean you'll feel right at home.
We offer breakfast, brunch & lunch Monday through Saturday. Our doors open at 8am for breakfast (served until 12pm) and we call it a day at 3pm.
Stop by in the morning for locally roasted coffee and a fresh baked muffin. Or have a full breakfast with an omelette or one of our tradition twisted creations. You’ll love our sausage gravy!
Come in for lunch and have one of our fresh fantastic salads or sandwiches. Bring the family and your friends for a meal and enjoy fantastic appetizers, sandwiches and house made desserts. With outdoor dining in season The Backyard is the perfect place for a quick bite or a long leisurely meal . Come eat, drink and linger.
Our Beginning
The idea of The Backyard began in 2011 when a tiny local cafe had outgrown its space. With a focus on seasonal and local ingredients and a desire to create a comfortable and inviting space for our community.

Our Mission
The Backyard grew from a seed of an idea to a full service restaurant offering fresh takes on traditional favorites, outdoor dining, and a great place for friends to meet. We love combining fresh ingredients to create delicious and fun meals and sharing them. Our mission is to provide our community with a comfortable space and creative menu. A space to have a quick bite and a full celebratory event. We are so honored to be a part of our community and share food and friendship.
